Meridian Arts Foundation Announces 2026 Artist Grant Recipients

The Meridian Arts Foundation is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2026 Artist Grant Program, awarding a total of $450,000 to 15 artists working across a range of disciplines.

Grant Categories

• Established Artist Fellowship ($50,000): Elena Vasquez (painting) and Marcus Webb (photography)
• Mid-Career Award ($30,000): Five artists in sculpture, digital art, and performance
• Emerging Artist Grant ($15,000): Eight early-career artists in various mediums

Selection Process

A panel of five nationally recognized artists, curators, and arts administrators reviewed 380 applications. Grants are awarded based on artistic merit, professional development potential, and commitment to the arts community.

"These grants represent our deepest commitment to supporting artists at every stage of their careers," said Foundation Director Catherine Moore. "The diversity and quality of this year's recipients reflect the extraordinary vitality of our regional arts scene."
